There is no substitute for exercise !!

Exercise means the physical activity carried out to maintain a good physical health and mental fitness. We can see the benefits of exercise in everyday life. It is impossible for a person to keep a good health without proper exercise. We all know that “Prevention is better than cure “and the exercise is the best thing of preventing our body from diseases. A person who doesn’t exercise regularly can fall in many diseases easily.

Types of exercises

There are different kinds of exercise that a person can do to be healthy. The most common forms of exercise that are almost always recommended nowadays are:

  • Morning walk
  • Gymnastic exercises
  • Freehand exercises
  • Yoga
  • Swimming
  • Cycling
  • Sports

Now people do exercise in various ways. Swimming, cycling, many types of sports become popular among the young generation because it is fun to do also.

So the health benefit of exercise is immense in our daily life. There we give some health benefit of exercise. But it is not enough because exercise importance is more than the given benefit.

Exercise increase energy level:

Do you need to change your mood? Are you totally exhausted after a stressful day? Just exercise 15-30 minutes. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. It also increases your confidence in front of others.


Helps to maintain a healthy weight:

Exercise can help to control weight. It prevents the possibility of excess weight gain or helps maintain weight loss. If you regularly engage in physical activity, you can burn extra calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you can easily burn.

 Exercise puts the spark back into your sex life:

Regular physical activity can improve our energy levels and also better physical appearance, which may boost our sex life. Regular physical exercise may enhance arousal for women and not only are that men who exercise regularly less likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than are men who don’t exercise.

Combats health conditions and diseases:

Regular exercise helps us to prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and diseases.  Stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and depression, a number of types of cancer, arthritis and many more diseases can be prevented or control by regular exercise.


Enhances our immune system:

Physical activity helps to flush bacteria out of the lungs and airways. Thus it may reduce the chance of getting a cold, flu, or other illness of a person.

Experts said that Regular Exercise changes in antibodies and white blood cells (WBC). We know that WBCs are the body’s immune system cells that fight against the disease. The body temperature during and after exercise may prevent bacteria from growing and developing. This temperature rise may help the body fight against infection better


Improve our muscles strength:

Exercising like weights lifting and other forms of resistance training develops your muscles, bones, and ligaments.  At a time it will increase your strength and endurance. Your muscles will become more firm and toned than before.

Improves Quality of Life

Once you begin to exercise regularly, you will find the reasons behind the importance of exercise. Thus you can also realize how it should improve the quality of your life. Exercise reduces stress, lifts moods, improves the immune system and helps you sleep better. Moreover, the most important things you may look and feel younger than before throughout your entire life.


Exercise is essential in our life for having a sound mind and sound body. We should also train ourselves in several kinds of ways. However, taking out some time to rest after exercise is also important as exercise. Over-exertion is harmful and it may weaken the organs. Thus, we should maintain a balance between work, rest, and exercise.
